Collar AI builds AI software for public company investor relations. This policy explains what personal information we collect through usecollarai.com and the Collar product, how we use it, and the choices you have.
In this policy, "Collar", "we" and "us" mean Collar AI, including our Delaware parent company and our Singapore subsidiary.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you book a demo or write to us, we collect what you share. This is usually your name, work email, company, ticker and any notes you add. Demo bookings run through a Google Calendar booking page.
Customer content
When your company uses Collar, your team may upload filings, earnings scripts, models, meeting notes and investor contact details. We process this content for your company under our customer agreement. That agreement governs customer content. If it conflicts with this policy, the agreement wins.
Public and licensed data
Collar maps institutional investors for our customers. To do this, we use public and licensed sources, such as regulatory filings like 13F reports and the professional details of portfolio managers and analysts. We use only business information, such as name, firm, role and holdings.
Technical data
Our hosting providers log basic technical data when you visit the site. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and schedule demos.
- To provide, secure and improve the Collar product.
- To send you updates about Collar. You can opt out at any time.
- To meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.
Your data and AI models
We do not sell personal information. We do not use one customer's content to train models that serve other customers. Your team sees only what your permissions allow.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only in these cases:
- With service providers that help us run Collar, such as hosting, email, calendar and AI model providers. They work under contract and may use the data only to serve us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Collar, our customers or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We will tell you if this happens.
- With your consent.
International transfers
We operate in the United States and Singapore. Your information may be processed in either country, or where our providers operate. When we move personal information across borders, we use safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. We keep customer content for the term set in the customer agreement.
Security
We protect personal information with technical and organizational measures. These include access controls, encryption and logging. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information. You may also object to or limit how we use it. These rights come from laws such as the GDPR in the EU and UK, the California Consumer Privacy Act and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.

Children
Collar is a business service. It is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Our site links to other sites, such as news articles, LinkedIn and Google Calendar. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
